Meet the Heart Behind Bloomgarten
Hi, I’m Mo Ihekweazu—founder of Bloomgarten Beauty.
Bloomgarten has been blooming in my heart for years. This journey started in the meadows of Sonoma wine country, where I spent summers surrounded by wildflowers, rivers, and open skies. Nature shaped how I see beauty—breathtaking, wild, and full of life.
At the same time, I was also falling in love with cosmetics. Beauty has always fascinated me. I remember mixing up my own lip balms and beauty blends long before I had a brand name to put on them. In business school, I wrote essays about working in the beauty industry—and even sold my first handmade lip balms to classmates from a recipe I created in my tiny studio kitchen.
After years in the corporate life, the pandemic gave me a moment of pause—and a push. After losing my father and what seemed like my career, I launched a floral design business, Blooming Garden Flowers, born from my love of nature and beauty. What began as a personal outlet quickly blossomed into something bigger: an opportunity to bring joy, calm, and creativity to fellow professionals through floral arrangement classes. That spark of inspiration brought me back to myself—and ultimately led me to create Bloomgarten Beauty.
Bloomgarten is the next chapter—a line inspired by nature, crafted with care, and made for people who want to feel good in their own skin. We’re starting with one of my favorite everyday essentials: moisturizing, high-performance lip balms—both tinted and colorless—made with clean, naturally-derived ingredients. Designed for busy people who want to look and feel good without overthinking it.
